THEREMIN FEVER!

I have become obsessed with the theremin. For those of you who don't know what it is, google it. I am the proud owner of a Moog Etherwave. It's pretty outstanding. I am planning to include it in my next recording, although I have no idea what that recording will be. I am practicing a little every day so that when I go to write a new song, I will at least have some ability to play the thing.

Anyhow, look forward to that, if you are the kind of person who looks forward to things. Specifically if you are the kind of person who looks forward to hearing a new song by yours truly.

The Whole Story on "The Whole Story"

I've added one track that I plan to put on my next album-type-thing.  It is my first attempt to write a piano based song.  If it proves anything, it is that I am a terrible piano player.  But I am happy with the song anyway.  It is definitely a "pop" song.  So listen and enjoy.

Progress Being Made on New Album

I am now seven songs into my new album! It is tentatively titled, "Can They Really Call You A Pessimist?" I will not post the completed album tracks until it is finished, however, keep a look out for a few acoustic\demo versions of the album tracks to appear on Reverb Nation (which means you can listen to them on the player right on this page!).

I am very happy with the new songs so far and am attempting to complete another four tracks to round out the album. The recording and mixing has been much more difficult this time around due to the fact that I am also at home with two children who demand a lot of my time. But I am working as quickly as I can to satisfy my fans. Do you like how I said "fans" there, as though I actually have a proper fanbase? Maybe one day.

Anyhow, thematically it is similar to the first album, but there is more of a focus on others in my life, making the songs less confessional than the first album, but just as intimate. For the most part.

So, keep your eyes and ears open and be patient. I promise you will have some new music soon.

Thank you for listening.

NEW SONGS ARE COMING...

I am finally working on some new songs!  I know, I know--you have been checking every day to find out when you could have some new Von Bots.  Well, very soon, my children.  I've got about four songs completed and another three or so in the middle of being written/recorded.  I'm really happy with the new songs.  I know you will be, too.  If you even exist.  Sometimes I wonder.

DEMO ALBUM COMPLETED

I've titled my unpublished demo album, "and then, suddenly, it happens there is death..." This is a quote from Paul Auster's book, The Invention of Solitude, which I am currently attempting to read between working on music, raising two sons and keeping the house in some sort of order.

The album is 14 original tracks. I've spent roughly a year writing and recording it and I am very pleased with the results. Here is a picture of the album artwork:

And the track listing is as follows:
  1. Carnival Lights (Hollow Tree)

  4. Gone
  5. Georgia

  8. I Am A Sailor
  9. Yes, You Do
  10. Winter Is Finally Here
  11. Sleep On Waves

  13. There Will Never Be A Portrait
